After 138 years, Haymarket memorial to be unveiled  On Sept. 14, in a reversal of 118 years of civic amnesia, a memorial to the Haymarket Incident of 1886 is to be unveiled at the site of the carnage, Crane's Alley on the east side of Desplaines Street, north of Randolph. Labor leaders such as Gannon will be there.

West Loop Retail Planned for Fanny May Site
The first significant retail project in the West Loop is coming. The site of the proposed multistory retail center could include an anchor tenant, movie theatre, restaurants, parking and more.

New West Loop Development
Belgravia is launching a 69-unit townhouse project in the West Loop. The project is estimated at $45-million and is located at the corner of Racine Avenue and Monroe Street. The development's three-to-five-bedroom units will be priced from about $500,000 to $800,000.
